Be careful what you say: It may be your next meal!

Matthew 12:36 American Standard Version (ASV)

36 And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

We will give an account Jesus. Remember that. Live in the Light of that. I will face Jesus face to face one day and nobody else will be there and no excuses will work. It’s about being washed in His Blood and filled with His Spirit and living in His Love and giving that Love away! It’s time to Love and it’s time to be Holy!

What meal will you eat?

What kind of words do you speak? (They will come back). Do you speak Life? You receive life. Do you speak bitterness and judgment? It’s coming back! Jesus calls us to love even our enemies. Speak Life! Forgive and ask for mercy those who hurt you. Ask for mercy for those we have hurt.

Matthew 7:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

That is a serious verse that I am not exempt from. Lord Jesus help me.

The Lord has been impressing on me to be careful in what I speak. I am learning that there is wisdom in being silent. We don’t have to share every bits and pieces of our lives to the world.

When our emotions are out of whack, when don’t operate in the wisdom that God gave us, we can eat our own words. They can taste bitter and make you a bitter person. Forgive easily and quickly and speak words of life!

Words can build people up or tear them down. Choose your words carefully. Everything should be motivated by love – yes -love tells the truth, but it how you tell that truth that shows if you belong to Christ or not.

Matthew 15:15-16 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

15 Peter replied, “What did you mean when you talked about the things that make people unclean?”

16 Jesus then said:

Don’t any of you know what I am talking about by now? 17 Don’t you know that the food you put into your mouth goes into your stomach and then out of your body? 18 But the words that come out of your mouth come from your heart. And they are what make you unfit to worship God. 19 Out of your heart come evil thoughts, murder, unfaithfulness in marriage, vulgar deeds, stealing, telling lies, and insulting others. 20 These are what make you unclean. Eating without washing your hands will not make you unfit to worship God.

It’s the inner heart that holds the sins of judgment, hatred, bitterness, gossip, discord, meanness, and insults.

What is in your heart?

The heart speak the truth of what really inside of us:

Luke 6:45 New King James Version (NKJV)

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart[a] brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

I have some suggestions that I had to learn:

  • When you are dealing with emotions or situations- go to God! Pour your heart out to Him!

  • Pour your heart out to trusted friends!

  • Don’t tell the world (KEEP YOUR PEACE)

  • Speak life (Don’t cut people down-that only shows that you are small in the Love of Jesus).

  • Give yourself time to heal.

  • Learn from the lessons that life brings.

  • Determine that through every situation you will be more like Christ!

Here is a test if you are a true disciple of Jesus Christ:

John 13:35 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

35 If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples.

Prayer:

Father God,

Help me to truly understand that every word that I say could be my next meal. Help me to grasp the fact that Your Word is above every other word. Help me to forgive quickly, help me to treat people with love and respect, help me to not share everything with the whole world, and Lord help me to know that You are my Hiding place… You are my Safe Place in where I can share all things. Lord Jesus I Love and Trust You. Help me to grow and learn through this season.

In Jesus Name Amen

In Christ

Colossians 2:9-10 Living Bible (TLB)

For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; 10 so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.

We think about our safe place, dream place-for example Florida at the beach. We think about a dream job, perfect family relationships, and perfect friends. These are all illusions.

In this life on earth we will deal with the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sometimes we can be all three of those things too.

Yes it’s ok to have hopes and dreams but in life things don’t always turn out the way you thought it should.

Colossians 2:9-10 Living Bible (TLB)

For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; 10 so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.

In Christ, we have everything we need. He is our hiding place. He is our source of life. He is our place in where we get our true identity from. He is worthy to place all our hopes and dreams on. He is our final destination.

He never leaves us. When others walk away or situations are overwhelming He is there always loving you. Even when money is tight and you don’t know what you are going to do. Trust Him!

Hebrews 13:5 Living Bible (TLB)

Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never, never fail you nor forsake you.”

Even when you feel so alone or deal with illness or situations that make you feel you just can’t go on. I am here to tell you in Christ –you can make it!

Philippians 4:10-14 Living Bible (TLB)

10 How grateful I am and how I praise the Lord that you are helping me again. I know you have always been anxious to send what you could, but for a while you didn’t have the chance. 11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; 13 for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power. 14 But even so, you have done right in helping me in my present difficulty.

Even the Apostle Paul went through hard times. He learned to be content because Christ was with him. People loved him and sent him help and comfort….Verse “14 But even so, you have done right in helping me in my present difficulty”.

I want you to understand that this life is a journey. In becoming more like Christ there are valleys and mountains top experiences that we must go through.

God cares more about our character than comfort. In all things when we give them to God –it will work out for our good!

My friend be encouraged seek Christ, worship Christ, live for Christ, and stay in Christ! Our best days are ahead when we place Him first!

Read Romans 8:28 in these different translations:

Romans 8:28 Living Bible (TLB)

28 And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.

Romans 8:28 Jubilee Bible 2000 (JUB)

28 And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints.

Romans 8:28 Amplified Bible (AMP)

28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

Romans 8:28 The Message (MSG)

26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

Prayer:

Christ,

I want to be in You. I want to live my life in You. You are my safe place. You are the lifter of my head and the healer of my heart. You take the good, bad, and the ugly of my life and work it out for my good and Your Glory.

Help me to live in You and with the Heavenly perspective that this life on earth is temporal and I am just passing through.

My home is in You and one day I will be in my heavenly home, experiencing Your Presence in a way I never have here.

Christ, until that day help me to stay in You. Lord Jesus Christ- I love You and I know that You love me. May your prayer in John 17 to be One be done.

Who, in Christ, Are You?

… 11.

In Christ …

Where are they now?

2roads500a.jpg

2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

What does it really mean to be born again (saved)?

Pastor Dan Betzer of First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, Florida- taught five power truths:

“1. Conversion – a person calls upon God to turn him or her around and change his or her life. Conversion begins with genuine repentance and faith.

  1. Justification– this is the reversal of God’s attitude towards a sinner because of the sinner’s new relationship with Christ. It is “just-as-if-I’d-never sinned”

  2. Regeneration– this is new birth, the impartation of Christ’s life within you, the new nature and heart.

  3. Sanctification– this is separation to God, purification from moral evil and conformation to the image of Christ.

  4. Reconciliation-to restore to friendship of harmony, to settle differences, to submit to a higher authority”.

It is more than a repeating prayer at the altar is a whole transformation. You and I who were dead spiritually became alive through the Blood of Christ!

I am not against the salvation prayer that’s how I became saved. I just wonder about the numbers of people who proclaimed Christ but don’t really belong to Him at all.

Where are they now?

It’s like praying the prayer to assure that you escape the fires of hell- but you don’t know Christ, love or obey Him or live for Him.

Matthew 7:21-23 King James Version (KJV)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

That is sobering Words of Christ!

Church we must wake up- including me!

I no longer chase revivals or manifestations. (Which can lead to deception). I am pursuing Christ with all my heart! I am not against Christ healing or God’s miracles I am against -not placing Christ first.

Salvation is the greatest miracle that ever happened! Christ dying in our place restoring the relationship to the Father for us!

1 Timothy 2:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus said the proof of our love for Him is obeying!

John 14:15-21 King James Version (KJV)

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

I could never earn my Salvation:

Isaiah 64:6 King James Version (KJV)

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Hebrews 9:13-15 King James Version (KJV)

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Jesus gave His all so we must give our all! The proof of my Salvation that I am truly born-again is this:

Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Hebrews 12:14-16 King James Version (KJV)

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Jesus said:

Matthew 5:48 New International Version (NIV)

48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

In Him, only In Christ and the proof of being in Christ should be my love for Him and others, my obedience for Him and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life.

Do I care about others being saved?

I don’t know who said this but I heard a quote once:

If you have no care for others being saved- are you really saved yourself?” That’s deep.

2 Peter 3:8-10 King James Version (KJV)

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Prayer:

Father God,

Thank You for Jesus and His Great Sacrifice on the Cross for my sins. His Blood was poured out so I could be reconciled to You. Purify me Lord Jesus in Your Blood. Holy Spirit help me to operate in Your Fruit and Your Gifts. Father God may everything I do be done for Your Glory. Stir up my passion for the lost- for those who don’t know You Lord. Help me to obey You Lord. Help me to daily pick up my cross and follow You. Lord I deeply Love You.

Luke 9:23 English Standard Version (ESV)

Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

In Jesus Name Amen

Long live the Platypus

platypus-underwater-animal-profile-web620.jpg

Romans 12:4-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

The platypus has a purpose. It kind of a cross between an otter and a duck… That’s what it looks like to me. They lay eggs and they can produce venom. Just astounding what God can make. He is a Creator of everything, even the platypus and yes- even you and me.

I always felt like an odd ball. When I grew up I was shy. Now I am not. I love Jesus and I love people. Not everybody loves or appreciates the platypus or you and me, but God does!

Psalm 139:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Listen I am 44 years old. I am who I am by God’s Grace!

1 Corinthians 15:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Paul was a trailblazer for the Kingdom of God. No apologies from him. I am not placed here to please men. I am here to please Almighty God!

God is making me face and conquer fears that held me back for years. People’s approval and rejection have held me in a bondage. I will always want to walk in Love but that doesn’t mean I base my life by people’s approval.

I am here for God’s pleasure! I am not here to be popular but I am here to be Holy in Christ! Set apart for Christ! Here for His Glory!

I want to blaze my own trail for Jesus! I want to see God’s Powerful Kingdom on this earth taking back the captives and Lighting up the darkness with Christ’s Great Glory!

I refuse to hide Christ’s Light. I am unashamed of my Lord Jesus Christ! He is my Life!

Matthew 5:15 New King James Version (NKJV)

15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

So like the platypus True Believers in Christ are a sore thumb to a world that is lost in sin. True Believers in Christ love God more than their sin. I don’t want to grieve Jesus- I love Him!

So when you are living in Christ you will look like an odd ball sometimes. You love Christ more than sin, and more than anything or anyone!

Yes, I am different and peculiar, so are those who are the True Bride of Christ. The rejects of society- who through the Blood of Jesus has been redeemed and set free!

I am chosen by Christ!

1 Peter 2:9-10 King James Version (KJV)

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

I am chosen by Christ!

John 15:16 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Prayer:

Father God,

You made me. I am yours shape me anyway you want to. You made the platypus for Your Pleasure. I don’t understand everything that You are doing and have allowed to be in my life right now, but by an act of faith and in the Power of Your Holy Spirit, I choose to trust You. I let go of people’s approval and fear. Lord Jesus help me to daily surrender to You all things. I love You Lord. Help me to be all that You called me to be. Help me to shine Your Light wherever I go. Help me Father God to be me-just me for You!

In Jesus Name Amen

When self is totally exhausted: Jesus shows up!

20160610_072623.jpg

Luke 5:4 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

When Jesus finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Take the boat into the deep water. If all of you will put your nets into the water, you will catch some fish.”

How can I go into the deep?

-With Christ’s command

-My Surrender

-His Strength

Sometimes we get tired and frustrated. Peter was going to go back to the familiar. He exhausted his efforts all night long, and: NO FISH!

In Luke 5:8-9, Peter came to the realization who he is and the realization of who Jesus really is:

Luke 5:8-9 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

8-9 The fishermen were all amazed at the many fish they caught. When Simon Peter saw this, he bowed down before Jesus and said, “Go away from me, Lord. I am a sinful man!”

In Luke 5:10, Jesus shows him that he will now catch men:

Luke 5:10 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

10 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were amazed too. (James and John worked together with Simon.)

Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on your work will be to bring in people, not fish!”

Read the account of Peter after Jesus death and Resurrection. He denied Jesus three times. He wanted to go back to fishing for fish. Ministry is tough especially when you let your leader down. You might think: I am not cut out for this, then Jesus shows up! A person reminded me of that tonight at church. I may not feel qualified but I know that God calls each one of us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

John 21 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Jesus Appears to Seven Followers

21 Later, Jesus appeared again to his followers by Lake Galilee.[a] This is how it happened: Some of the followers were together—Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the two sons of Zebedee, and two other followers. Simon Peter said, “I am going out to fish.”

The other followers said, “We will go with you.” So all of them went out and got into the boat. They fished that night but caught nothing.

Early the next morning Jesus stood on the shore. But the followers did not know it was Jesus. Then he said to them, “Friends, have you caught any fish?”

They answered, “No.”

He said, “Throw your net into the water on the right side of your boat. You will find some fish there.” So they did this. They caught so many fish that they could not pull the net back into the boat.

The follower Jesus loved very much said to Peter, “That man is the Lord!” When Peter heard him say it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around himself. (He had taken his clothes off to work.) Then he jumped into the water. The other followers went to shore in the boat. They pulled the net full of fish. They were not very far from shore, only about 100 yards.[b] When they stepped out of the boat and onto the shore, they saw a fire of hot coals. There were fish on the fire and some bread there too. 10 Then Jesus said, “Bring some of the fish that you caught.”

11 Simon Peter got into the boat and pulled the net to the shore. It was full of big fish—153 of them! But even with that many fish, the net did not tear. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat.” None of the followers would ask him, “Who are you?” They knew he was the Lord. 13 Jesus walked over to get the bread and gave it to them. He also gave them the fish.

14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his followers after he was raised from death.

Jesus Talks to Peter

15 When they finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these other men love me?”

Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Take care of my lambs.[c]

16 Again Jesus said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”

Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Then Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

17 A third time Jesus said, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was sad because Jesus asked him three times, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!”

Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep. 18 The truth is, when you were young, you tied your own belt and went where you wanted. But when you are old, you will put out your hands, and someone else will tie your belt. They will lead you where you don’t want to go.” 19 (Jesus said this to show how Peter would die to give glory to God.) Then he said to Peter, “Follow me!”

20 Peter turned and saw the follower Jesus loved very much walking behind them. (This was the follower who had leaned against Jesus at the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that will hand you over?”) 21 When Peter saw him behind them, he asked Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”

22 Jesus answered, “Maybe I want him to live until I come. That should not matter to you. You follow me!”

23 So a story spread among the followers of Jesus. They were saying that this follower would not die. But Jesus did not say he would not die. He only said, “Maybe I want him to live until I come. That should not matter to you.”

24 That follower is the one who is telling these things. He is the one who has now written them all down. We know that what he says is true.

25 There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I think the whole world would not be big enough for all the books that would be written.

At church tonight the person teaching said “Give up and Go back”. It was related to what I already wrote down. Another person talked about Peter and how he might have felt unqualified because he denied Christ. Its was right on target in what God laid on my heart.

I want to encourage you. Don’t quit but surrender to God! Admit that you need Him. Ask Him to forgive you and restore you. He will! Come to the end of yourself and begin again refreshed and filled up with Jesus, let His Spirit overflow inside of you.

Prayer:

Father God,

I am willing to let you show me how much I truly need you. Even when Peter went fishing for fish you restored him to fish for men. Lord here I am heal me, forgive me, restore me, and send me to reach others for Christ. Father God You are Good and I Love You.

In Jesus Name Amen

Unclenched Fists

isaiah-43-19.jpeg

Isaiah 43:18-19 Good News Translation (GNT)

18 But the Lord says,

“Do not cling to events of the past
or dwell on what happened long ago.
19 Watch for the new thing I am going to do.
It is happening already—you can see it now!
I will make a road through the wilderness
and give you streams of water there.

Wrote this in a post:

I’m Letting Go! It’s time to Let Go of what cannot be for what can be. I’m Letting Go of Control and my will. I am embracing the majesty of God’s plans! I am free to Worship, Serve, and Obey full of the Holy Spirit and at Peace. The Peace of God is Reigning in my life. In Jesus Name Amen

I am a fighter by nature. There comes a time when God shows you that it’s not your fight. It’s not yours- so I unclench my fists and let go!

I Love Jesus with everything. I am a very passionate person. I can also be impulsive which can get me in trouble. I have placed the reins of my life in God’s Hands. It’s time to be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When He pulls my reigns I should listen.

Psalm 32:9 Good News Translation (GNT)

Don’t be stupid like a horse or a mule,
which must be controlled with a bit and bridle
    to make it submit.”

I don’t want to stupid it’s time for me to make major changes. It’s time for me to submit willing! Humbleness is the best things that ever happened to me. I see Jesus clearly! I want to follow Him all the way!

There is a new thing that He is doing in my life. Rivers of Living Water are cleansing me and filling me to overflowing!

John 7:37-39 English Standard Version (ESV)

Rivers of Living Water

37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

I feel my Joy coming back in waves and my Love is passionately burning for God and for others. God is not done with me yet.

I am entering the Refiner’s Fire yet again:

Job 23:10 Good News Translation (GNT)

10 Yet God knows every step I take;
if he tests me, he will find me pure.

Zechariah 13:9 Good News Translation (GNT)

And I will test the third that survives and will purify them as silver is purified by fire. I will test them as gold is tested. Then they will pray to me, and I will answer them. I will tell them that they are my people, and they will confess that I am their God.”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Take me into You deeper than ever before. Clean me in Your Purifying Fire. I surrender all and I unclenched my fists- Lord take my will and make it so that I will follow Your Will. Lord Jesus I want to come out of this pure as gold, so people see You in me. How I Love You Lord Jesus.

In Your Name Amen

I won’t abandon my call

16176580_1425206997490057_154482478_n (1).jpg

  • It was a cloudy day and I kinda in my heart prayed- I need to see the sun and a little while later I did! God is good He heard me!

Acts 2:25-28 New King James Version (NKJV)

25 For David says concerning Him:

‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face,
For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad;
Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’
[a]

A friend sent me this scripture:

I see the Lord is ever present with me. I will not live in fear or abandon my calling because He guides my right hand. My heart is glad; my soul rejoices; my body is safe. You will not abandon me to experience the suffering of a miserable afterlife. Instead, You direct me on a path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment. – Acts 2:25-28

In this version it says:

I won’t abandon my call!

God can redirect me anyway He chooses to. He is with me providing new strength and enlarging my vision.

Mark 6:31 New King James Version (NKJV)

31 And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

Mark 6:31 The Message (MSG)

Supper for Five Thousand

30-31 The apostles then rendezvoused with Jesus and reported on all that they had done and taught. Jesus said, “Come off by yourselves; let’s take a break and get a little rest.” For there was constant coming and going. They didn’t even have time to eat.

Right after this rest they had more ministry.

Jesus is giving me a time to rest, reflect, and He is going to heal those deep hurts.

I am seeing the sun through the clouds and it’s going to be ok!

Jesus is always ready to help us when we need Him. Many times we can get so full of ourselves and that’s pride. I needed to be emptied of all that garbage so I could be cleansed and filled fresh with Him!

Burning out is a serious thing in the ministry. We think we can run on empty. We think we have to figured it all out and God comes along and says:

I have a plan for your life, and it’s not your plan. I will not rubber stamp your agenda.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

11 I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering. 12 You will turn back to me and ask for help, and I will answer your prayers. 13 You will worship me with all your heart, and I will be with you

It’s ok to say- I need help! We wear masks and pretend that we have it altogether. Yet it’s when the fire of life and when the enemy’s attacks us that the real us emerges. I need help and I need Christ! I want to come out stronger and pure as gold.

Job 23:10 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

10 But he knows what I am doing,
and when he tests me,
I will be pure as gold.

I can’t abandon my call even though it’s a whole a lot easier to do that. What about precious souls that need Jesus? What about teaching God’s Word to build up others? I have gifts and talents that God deposited in me. I have no right not to use them.

Matthew 25:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

I am going to get rest and get help and I will stand up stronger! I will soar with Christ!

This season in my life is hard but this season it’s not about people, it’s about Christ and me!

It’s me that needs to change to become that warrior again to get that armor on and say:

This was a hard blow and yes it knocked me down but I am getting back up. I will be healed, empowered, and filled with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

2 Timothy 2:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)

No soldier in active service gets entangled in the [ordinary business] affairs of civilian life; [he avoids them] so that he may please the one who enlisted him to serve.

My focus is back on track. It’s Christ that I serve its His Kingdom that I am apart of!

2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Romans 14:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Can I encourage you today? Don’t give up! Just love and forgive. Be repairer and not a destroyer! Be a lover and not a hater! Be an encourager and not a divider. See God’s good instead of the devil’s bad. Pursue love and holiness.

1 Timothy 6:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

11 But as for you, [a]O man of God, flee from these things; aim at and pursue righteousness [true goodness, moral conformity to the character of God], godliness [the fear of God], faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.

Matthew 5:8 King James Version (KJV)

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Prayer:

Father God,

I will not abandon my call. Life has delivered a hard blow but You’re my Healer and Restorer! I choose to take one day at a time and be healed, restored, refilled, and ready for more of Your Kingdom work. Grant that I be a bringer of Your Love and Peace. Grant that I be an Encourager to build up others. May I be about Your Kingdom business and walk in Divine Love. Father God I Love You!

In Jesus Name Amen
